Tips for a better search
The register matches names, so small differences matter.
Use a short part of the name
Start with the first one or two words. Long names are easy to mistype.
Try both forms
Try “Pvt” and “Private”, “Ltd” and “Limited”, and with and without “(Smc-Private)”.
Name availability
Seeing a name here means it is taken. Whether a new name is allowed is SECP’s decision. See how to check name availability.

Frequently asked questions
What is SECP?
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan is the regulator that registers and oversees companies under the Companies Act.
How do I check if a company is registered in Pakistan?
Enter the company name in the search box and press Search. A registered company appears with its registration number, status and registration date.
What does Incorporated mean?
The company is registered with SECP under the Companies Act.
What is a CRO?
CRO stands for Company Registration Office, the SECP office that holds the company’s file.
Is this the official SECP register?
The results come from SECP’s public company search, but this is our own search page, not an SECP page. For legal use, confirm details with SECP directly.
Why does the page sometimes send me to SECP’s website?
Our server cannot always reach SECP. When that happens, the page shows a button that opens SECP’s own results page in a new tab, using your browser and your internet connection, with your search filled in.
Can I check whether a company name is available?
Searching shows names that already exist. Whether a name can be reserved or used is decided by SECP. Our guide explains the steps.
Can I find a company by registration number?
This page searches by name. Use SECP’s own services for other kinds of search.
How do I register a company with SECP?
You need a unique name, the directors’ details and documents, and the filing with SECP. Our guides list the documents and the fees, and we can handle the filing for you.
Do you save what I search?
No. The name you type is sent to SECP to get the results and is not saved by us. The site only keeps a short-lived request counter for each visitor, to stop automated abuse.
